Role Description

This position requires employees that are self-motivated, possess good communication skills at all levels, have a proficient working knowledge of the production process, and are willing to take on challenges. It requires being flexible, the ability to build a team, and leadership. They must actively demonstrate and encourage participation in the Sisecam values at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Post Hazard Assessments daily
  • Workplace inspection daily
  • Participate in PASS every shift
  • Communicate all pertinent information to supervisor
  • Perform daily housekeeping assignments
  • Ability to mine in the ore seams
  • Ability to read and comprehend mine maps
  • Ability to perform safety checks on every shift

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualified on the Continuous Miner
  • Proficient in advance, retreat, and mains mining processes
  • Attendance in good standing
  • Coachability
  • Positive morale
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of MSHA requirements
