Role Description

The custodian is responsible for maintaining change houses, offices, break areas, and other facilities in an attractive, clean, sanitary, and safe condition.  This position will also initiate work orders for the repair of areas where janitorial services are performed, and work exceeds custodial capabilities.  

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Maintains the cleanliness of the assigned buildings of the work areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms and showers, gathering and emptying trash. 
  • Perform basic routine maintenance activities and submit work orders for repairs beyond basic capabilities. 
  • Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals, according to instructions, in containers in preparation for cleaning. 
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes while focusing on safety and best practices. 
  • Performs tasks in accordance with the quality and environmental management systems established according to the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO14001 2015 standards. 
  • Perform other miscellaneous job duties as assigned 

Minimum Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Basic working knowledge of cleaning equipment, related materials, and health standards.  
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be dependable, able to work independently, and have a positive attitude.  
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position and work in both office and production environments. 

Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Two years of custodial experience 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Occasional -frequent lift/carry of 30-50 lbs. 
  • Frequently- constantly stand/walk/climb stairs. 
  • Occasional sit, pending site location and job task. 
  • Occasional- frequent push/pull of 30-50 lbs. 
  • Wear required PPE when in operating areas.
