Qualifications
We are looking for a “Logistics Supervisor” to take part in Şişecam Flat Glass Bursa-Yenişehir Plant of Şişecam Group. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Graduated from the Logistics, Engineering or Economics and Administrative Sciences faculties of universities
- Minimum 5 years of experience relevant field
- Knowledge of operational processes related to customs, ports and land transportation
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in MS Office applications, preferably able to use SAP and S4hana
- Strong problem-solving skills, and analytical approach to complex business cases
- Strong communication skills
- Class B driver's license (Active user)
- No restrictions to travel
- Residing or able to reside in Bursa, Yenişehir, İnegöl, İznik
Job Descrıption
- Working with the Logistics Manager to manage the team under the logistics unit to ensure that daily operations are completed on time and efficiently according to the vision, strategy and strategic plan determined by the Logistics Director and the Supply Chain Development and Integration unit.
- Planning and executing the optimization of logistics flows in the shipping network; Ensure that resources are used effectively for route and loading optimizations of supply logistics, shipping logistics and inter-facility logistics activities
- Conduct daily logistics planning and operations activities including assessment of transportation requests, delivery date feasibility and ensuring compliance with legislation in line with global planning rules and expectations
- Conduct daily logistics planning and operations activities such as planning and tracking shipments, monitoring logistics-related problems identified during visual and quality inspections conducted after shipment
- Follow up on shipment processes such as document or goods preparation, ensuring that relevant parties are informed in case of any delays and ensuring that a risk prevention plan is created with relevant parties to prevent any damage
- Actively communicate with logistics partners (e.g. 3PL companies) and all internal / external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards for all transportation and take corrective actions when necessary
- Work and coordinate with Logistics Procurement and Customs units in collaboration with Field Operations, Foreign Trade, and Order Fulfillment departments to consolidate shipping requests and select optimized routes and transportation methods.
- Ensure timely and quality completion of tasks assigned by the Logistics Manager.
- Controlling the quality and timeliness of outputs: leading monthly key performance indicator evaluations, managing weekly evaluations of business development projects
