Occupational&Employee Health Safety Specialist

More About the Role
- Coordinating the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Şişecam’s global OHS, Employee Health, and Social Compliance strategies, including leading the design and management of related policies, procedures, standards, and management systems
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting corporate performance to senior management while driving data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
- Driving projects, programs, and training initiatives to strengthen OHS culture, employee awareness, and corporate sustainability
- Contributing to and advancing practices in risk management, process safety, industrial hygiene, employee health, and emergency management
- Supporting the implementation and expansion of human rights, ethical labor standards, working conditions, employee well-being, and social compliance practices across operations and the value chain
- Coordinating cross-site OHS and social compliance projects, working groups, and improvement initiatives while facilitating collaboration across business units and stakeholders
- Managing internal/external audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections, overseeing accident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions to ensure compliance and foster organizational learning
- Driving supplier and contractor performance improvement, tracking regulatory and international standards, and leading digitalization, efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability initiatives within OHS and social compliance processes
All About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, along with Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (Class A or B) qualification; international certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.) considered an asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety, preferably within manufacturing, high-risk environments, and HQ organizations
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis practices
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, with solid data analysis and reporting skills,
- Experience in communication, coordination, problem-solving, and project environments, with a team-oriented and results-focused approach
