Laboratory Engineer

More about the Role

• Conducting chemical and physical analyses of glass and raw materials used in glass production at the assigned location, evaluating the results
• Providing analytical support in identifying and solving product quality issues faced by manufacturing companies
• Responsible for carrying out laboratory activities and developing experimental methods, monitor and follow up on calibration and maintenance activities of laboratory equipment, and perform and report uncertainty and validation calculations related to experimental methods
• Ensuring the continuity and proper functioning of processes in accordance with Quality Management System procedures and instructions, conduct necessary controls and analysis follow ups to ensure consistency of results across laboratories, and ensure overall organizational compliance while working in accordance with 5S standards
• Following national and international standards related to analytical methods and ensuring they remain up to date
• Preparing technical specifications for materials and engineering services to be procured, and participate in communications with domestic and international service providers in line with prepared projects and specifications
• Staying updated on new developments within the area of expertise and prepare reports/presentations to share within the organization

All About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mineral Processing Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Chemistry
• At least 2 years of experience in instrumental analysis, analytical chemistry, or research-based fields; preferably experienced in using XRF, spectrophotometer, and GC devices
• Ability to establish a systematic approach to problem-solving related to glass, glass materials, and raw materials
• Preferably experienced in TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management System applications
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Open to development, with strong analytical thinking, effective communication skills, and a sense of responsibility
