Role Description

Managing day-to-day operations of batch charging, melting, refining, conditioning, tin bath, and annealing lehr processes.
Ensuring smooth glass ribbon formation, thickness stability, and controlling surface and dimensional quality.
Controlling and optimizing glass temperature profiles, furnace pressure, tin bath atmosphere, ribbon speed, and lehr curves.
Coordinating with batch plant for raw material quality, composition control, and consistent batch feeding.
Monitoring glass chemistry and analyzing its impact on melting behavior, defects, and product compliance.
Identifying defects and implementing corrective actions.
Improving equipment reliability by coordinating maintenance, reducing downtime, and extending asset life.
