Description:

Sisecam Wyoming is seeking an advanced level Surface Maintenance technician. This position requires employees who are self-motivated, possess effective communication skills at all levels, have a proficient working knowledge of the production process, and are willing to take on challenges. It requires being flexible, the ability to build a team, and leadership. Continually determines priorities of tasks needed. Must demonstrate and encourage participation in Sisecam values.

Placement at the SM3 level requires:

• High school graduate or equivalent, combined with:
  • Successful completion of college-level coursework in Industrial Mechanics, including Mechanics 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Preventive Maintenance, Hydraulics 1, 2, 3, and Pneumatics, and;
  • Successful completion of college-level coursework in Welding, including Schedule 80 Pipe, GTAW Plate, Stainless Steel Basic, GTAW Pipe, Stainless Steel Pipe, Pipe Layout and Fabrication, Downhill Pipe, and certification in Sch. 80 Carbon Pipe 6G and Sch. 40 Stainless Pipe 6G; and
  • Working knowledge of Theory and Procedures including: Schwing Bioset Hydraulic Systems to include Pump Replacement Procedure, Oil Cooler Replacement, and Piston Rod Replacement Procedure.
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing systems and processes.
• To be placed at level SM3, the applicant must possess all required qualifications for SM1 and SM2levels, plus the following other required qualifications:
  • Power House Boiler
  • Recompressor Operation
  • Vibrating Classifier Maintenance (2/2)
  • Kilns and Mills
  • Vibratory Feeder Maintenance
  • River Pump Maintenance
  • Bucket Elevator Maintenance
  • Bagging Machine
  • Vertimill Maintenance
  • Bird Centrifuges Maintenance
  • Filter Repair
    • Spindle Replacement, Chevron Seals (old and new style), U6 Sparkler Filter PM
  • Manlift Inspection and Repair
  • U6 Morris Pump Mechanical Seal

• Basic computer skills including database proficiency.
• Must be self-motivated and able to perform on a high-performance work team with minimal supervision.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting schematics/blueprints.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Able to meet physical demands of the position (lifting up to 50 lbs., working day shift or rotating shift work as required, color perception, recognizing warning alarms, fine motor skills, and climbing ladders and stairways).
• A strong commitment to all safety guidelines.
