General Job Description
The Sales Supervisor functionally and administratively reports to the Glassware Sales Manager (APAC & Americas). The position is responsible for supporting the achievement of annual sales targets and budgets for the glassware category within the designated region, maintaining strong operational relationships with sales partners, and contributing to the region's overall financial results.
Furthermore, the Sales Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the creation of joint business plans with sales partners, identifying new business opportunities through regional market mapping and analysis, and coordinating the financial, risk, and collection processes of key sales accounts under their responsibility
Management Systems and Process Responsibilities
- Risk & Opportunity Management: Carrying out activities such as identifying and evaluating the risks and opportunities of the process, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with determined objectives, and performing periodic reporting under the guidance of the manager, within the scope of information security, quality, energy, environment, occupational health and safety, and food safety management system standards.
- Audit Participation: Ensuring active participation in external audits, when necessary, within the scope of the processes owned.
- Training & Compliance: Completing all assigned awareness and compliance training related to the active management systems.
- Policy Adherence: Understanding all relevant company policies and acting in strict accordance with them.
- Corrective Actions: Fulfilling duties related to corrective and improvement activities/actions initiated within the sales unit.
- Information Security: Promptly reporting any detected or reported information security breach incidents to the unit manager and/or the information security management system manager.
- Internal Audits: Performing assigned internal audit tasks in line with internal audit planning (applicable if the employee has received internal auditor training).
- Onboarding Support: Supporting the onboarding and orientation process of peers and new team members.
- Administrative Diligence: Ensuring the timely and accurate entry of annual leave requests within specified periods.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To perform the tasks assigned by the manager to increase sales revenue and achieve or exceed corporately set targets.
- To assist in making and evaluating forecasts for business opportunities in existing and new industries compatible with the business unit's products.
- To design and implement tactical and joint business sales plans that increase industry sales in the region.
- To help identify new market opportunities, as well as generate leads and research new customer prospects through regular market mapping.
- To provide support in creating new accounts to achieve or exceed set sales targets.
- To conduct market research to have a deep understanding and knowledge of target industries (including analysis of competitors, sales strategies' effectiveness, etc.).
- To receive sales targets from the manager and provide input for updated forecasts when commercial conditions require changes to the focal points.
- To support and implement the creation of proposals, presentations, price requests, and responses to quote requests, from quotation to the purchasing stage.
- To assist in managing negotiations and contracts with customers, working with team members from design, sales operations, logistics, marketing, and other directorates to ensure the production of high-quality products and services and that all customer needs are met.
- To plan and present reports on account development, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members and stakeholders for potential use in future case studies.
- To support efforts to build and foster strong customer relationships by conducting regular visits and actively using different communication channels.
- To assist in developing strong relationships with customers by creating customized account plans and commercial strategies.
- To contribute to and use the pricing matrix and discount model provided by product management, and request updates and revisions when necessary.
- To assist in managing commercial-related financial responsibilities such as risk management and collections with necessary internal and external stakeholders within the scope of industry sales.
- To prepare regular/ad-hoc reports and data for relevant stakeholders, including management, legal, etc., regarding sales performance, commercial developments, and new opportunities related to the assigned customer group.
- To perform and complete tasks assigned by their managers on time and at the expected quality.
- To take part in projects led by their managers.
- To provide input to the manager for the creation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports and analyses and to support the maintenance of these reports.
- To assist the manager in taking corrective action and/or providing operational insights for unmet targets in performance reports and key performance indicators.
- To present any issues to the manager in a timely manner and assist in the negotiation and resolution process.
