Role Description
Job Summary:
The Account Manager II will be responsible for managing a regional sales territory and meeting Company specified targets by creating value for the existing customer base through all products, services, and/or solutions from Company. Account Manager II role is an experienced outside sales role that will have the opportunity to develop into an Account Executive role. The Account Manager II will be responsible for meeting Company specified targets by creating value for the existing customer base through all products, services, and/or solutions from the Company.
Role Duties and Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Negotiate with customers to achieve budget volume and price.
- Achieve sales and margin growth targets.
- Improve relationships with customer accounts to generate profitable sales volume.
- Develop and execute short-term account plans, transposing into long term growth strategy across product line once the market plan is identified and developed.
- Discover and close new business while growing existing business.
- Customer order forecasting - prepare accurate forecasting and progress reporting for management.
- Responsible for contract management, forecasting, accounts receivable, negotiation for price and volume.
- Identify price trends by product line and accurate competitive activity.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes while focusing on safety and best practices.
- Participate in regional and national industry trade association activities to maintain high visibility for Company products and services.
- Develop new accounts for each business unit to increase market share.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on all customer interface activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, chemistry or other hard science; advanced degree or MBA a plus
- Two to four years of sales, customer service, supply chain or related experience
- Ability to establish and maintain outstanding interpersonal and customer relationships.
- Ability to work independently or within a team, successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and high integrity in dealing with internal and external parties.
- Strong understanding of customer needs.
- Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Oracle
- At times, non-traditional work hours are required (including some evening and weekend work).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods in a noisy environment.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
- Able to meet physical demands of the position.
- Overnight travel required.
