Short Job Description
We are looking for a "Certification and Product Performance Management Engineer" to take part in Şişecam Headquarters located in Tuzla/İstanbul. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Leather, preferably a master's degree
- Minimum 4 years of experience in relevant field
- Excellent command of English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Experienced in quality management systems, analytical measurement techniques and devices, preferably involved in product development projects
- Solid analytical skills for identifying patterns and trends to use in process improvement recommendations
- Proven ability to lead, establish, and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers within the region and across functions
- Proven ability to coach and mentor others in technical matters
- Ability to plan and conduct effective meetings and group presentations
- Team oriented, results-focused, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Able to show references from leather production sector
- Class B driver's license (Active user)
- No restrictions to travel
Job Description
- Applying existing and developing chrome products on leather products, comparing products with competing products, taking part in new product development projects
- Supporting new product studies and customer complaints with leather studies, making leather production applications, evaluating tanning recipes, having the mechanical processing of the leather to be tested in tanneries
- Performing the analyzes and trials in accordance with the determined test methods, reporting the results and conveying them to the relevant units
- To determine and validate the analysis methods for the raw materials, auxiliary substances, solutions, and wastes generated during the process.
- Preparing the instructions for use of laboratory devices, verifying, and calibrating them
- Following the needs of the consumables for the chemical materials and devices used in the laboratories and creating the orders
- Oversee preparation of documentation associated with new product assessment and launching activities performed by other Product Performance Engineers or other company members
- Plan and oversee work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and the substantial adaptation of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
- Oversee and participate in post market quality assurance engineering projects and development activities of significant scope or degree of difficulty
