Şişecam began its journey of innovation in glass technologies by establishing Turkey’s first research and development center in 1976. We conduct innovative work across a wide range, from raw materials to production processes, advanced glass compositions to industrial applications, for the production of high-quality and sustainable glass. We play a pioneering role in many areas, from globally significant advanced technology glass structures to sectors requiring high performance.
Our R&D efforts cover every detail, from the preparation of the batch recipe and melting stages, which form the basis of the glass production process, to the optical, color, and physical properties of the products. These efforts are integrated with innovative product developments as well as operational excellence.
